Tirana Rockers

After the temporary breakup of the famous hungarian band ’BIKINI’ the legendary guitar player Zsolt Daczi (R.I.P.) founded a new rockband with his friend Tibor Gubás.

In the early period numerous changes happened in the rhythm section. Tibor Koncz, Bertalan Hirlemann, and András Ács (famous hun musicians) also were part of the band for a shorter – or longer period of time.

The most known line-up was the following:

Zsolt ‘Bende’ Daczi- guitar, Tibor ‘Gubi’ Gubás – voice, Zsolt Beloberk – drums, István Beloberk – bass.

After a plenty of gigs the band broke up in 1999 because of the bad conditions of the hungarian music business.

Although the Tirana Rockers hasn’ had a long run, the members of the band became determinative musicians of the hungarian rock – and metal scene. Tirana Rockers was not only a good community but the university of rock n’ roll too !

Unarguably Zsolt Daczi’s musicianship and musical quality was outstandingly top-notch, and with the unique voice of Tibor Gubás they created some very powerful and breezy dirty rock n’ roll songs that still sound special and fresh even in present time.

And the story continues . . .

In the middle of December, 2010 the band reunited with the founder Tibor Gubás and with new members from the hungarian rock-metal scene. The new line-up: life member Zsolt Daczi (guitar) (1969-2007), Tibor ’Gubi’ Gubás – voice, Máté ’Matt’ Nagy – guitar, Mikky Slade – guitar, Miklós ’Retek’ Ratkai – drums and Bartfay ’D-Khan’: D ’Metal Angel’ Laszlo bass.

The main goal of this new formation is to carry on the legendary Zsolt Daczi’s (friend, musician, band founder, guitar hero) musical heritage.

To play his favorite band’s (Tirana Rockers) songs everywhere in the world to make people remember Him forever and to show what is the hungarian dirty rock n’ roll spirit !

The new line-up with the catchy voice of Gubi, the two guitars and with the tight rhythm section sounds more modern, fresh and heavy.

So the work started in 2010. The band started to rehealse. The norvegian Black Diamond Management was kind enough to support the band and help them on the way.

Soon the band found itself on an East European tour as the support of Tim ’RIPPER’ Owens (former singer of Judas Priest) in 2011 February.

In the summer the guys will re-record the ’old’ Tirana songs and they will attend on another tour as the support of Norwegian heavy metal band ’Thunderbolt’.
