Crossholder
The band was formed on 10th April 2008 at 8 P.M. in Budapest.
An old project of Guzu’s was gathering dust in his brain and on an age-old home tape from year 1992.He had presented his ideas to the others. Everyone without exception accepted these ideas along with the band name „Crossholder”.
The project:
This project is a whole plan which consists of a novel and a musical visual production.
By the end of 2008 Guzu finished his 292 page novel, called „Crossholder – In Captivity of Time”.
Each chapter of the novel (13) begins with the lyrics of a song, and is followed by a concrete chapter. An illustration belongs to each chapter.
At gigs the songs are performed in a way that those who listen to the songs from the beginning till the end can hear and see a related story about Crossholder, who comes to the Middle Ages from the future and establishes the Knights Templar Order.
Only those who come to a „Crossholder” gig can really understand the story!
Already is available their debut album call “Crossholder, in Captivity of Time” which was be masterized in New York and is published by Hammerworld (Nail records).
An interesting moment of the album is that there are no pauses between the songs, only sound effects and battle noises.
Naturally an English version of the album is going to be published too, as there are quite a lot of people from abroad who are interested in this unique project.
Crossholder was the only one Hungarian band, who played on the main stage (first day) on “Metalfest Hungary 2010” in the company of bands like Nevermore, Sonata Arctica, Lamb of God etc.
At the one of the biggest Hungarian festival, call “Septemberfest 2010” they are the headliners on the Neo FM Radio main Stage.
In April 2011, they going in a Thailand tour.
